I’m so glad you pointed out your blog address! I’ve really wanted to see some of your work. You do such beautiful stuff from what I’ve seen in the past. This just reinforces it.
The mohair did turn out wonderfully, but I can understand your hesitation… all that gunk. Hopefully you won’t lose all the color in the washing and setting.
I have to say, though, my favorite picture is actually of the predrafted merino. I always love all those fluffy balls… like colorful clouds down here on earth! And you’ve capture that perfectly in that picture.
That, and the CVM. But that’s just because I’m jealous. First, because you can dye it all those beautiful colors, and second, that you have all that yummy fiber to play with in the first place!
BTW, good luck w/ the Rose. I hope it goes well
. Let me know what happens!

Washing and setting yeilded some pretty dark water (I had to rinse like 8 or 9 times before it was “almost” clear).. but it didn’t seem to effect the color of the yarn. I have absolutely NO clue what I’m going to do with it now though
There’s not much at all – I’ll probably use it as a fuzzy accent for something, since it did halo pretty nicely just with washing – I may get brave and brush it a little too.
You probably have just as much fiber as I do.. other than the seemingly never-ending CVM (there’s still a TON of that fleece leftover – the colors make up about a pound or so) I have a few pounds of BFL, a few pounds of corriedale, a pound of brown corriedale, a pound of Targhee, random amounts of Merino (dyed and undyed), and a couple ounces of angora (a little goes a long way though! I bought 3oz and was amazed at how much that amounted too! ). I’m trying to work my way through my fiber stash a little before buying anything else.. but now I really want more mohair (better stuff this time though!) as well as some silk hankies (there’s a neat video on youttube.com showing how to spin them – it’s totally are inspiring)..
Thanks for commenting, BTW
My first comment – yay!
