Eeek!
posted Monday, January 29th, 2007 by SarahI’m doing it.. I’m selling my Ashford Traditional *gasp*. I found someone to buy it at the price I want to sell it, and it will be leaving me TODAY! Ack! I’ve also found someone (else) who may want my Woolee Winder, so it looks like that is taken care of as well.
Given that my last couple of spinning projects have actually been done on my Hitchhiker, I don’t think that I’ll miss my traddy much before I get a replacement.. but yikes! My plan now is to buy a Majacraft Rose but even if I ordered it today, it will take a couple of weeks to get to me. I had found one for a great price but the seller is sure it is already sold – with a few backups, but that’s ok, I’ll have the “thrill” of getting a BRAND NEW wheel again – woohoo!
But uh, yeah, EEEK!

YAY! Cogratulations, I’m so happy for you. It’ll be tough going a little while without a wheel, but worth it in the end. I hope you enjoy the Rose as much as I do

Well I still have a wheel!
I’m not totally wheel-less. I haven’t even ordered the rose yet.. trying to get through the yarn co-op first. HOPEFULLY the remaining people will pay me tomorrow.
Otherwise I might have to get mean and drop people..

That’s right… I forgot about your hitchhiker. That’s good! I know I’d go through withdrawl w/o a wheel. The spindle is ok, and really nice when you need something really small and transportable, but it just isn’t the same!
As for the co-op, hopefully everything it going ok! It would suck to have to drop people, but sometimes you don’t have a choice…

Yeah, and if I didn’t have the HH I’d be begging and pleading with my mom to borrow her Joy until I get my rose!!
I did go ahead ahead and order it this morning.. I was getting too tempted to spend the money from selling my traditional on *other* things (like fiber, hand cards, weaving supplies, a peanut shell sling), which would have been bad
So hopefully it won’t take too long.
Well, I did buy the peanut shell, but that wasn’t much compared to the other stuff tempting me.. lol
I only have one person left to pay on the co-op, and she emailed me last night after I sent out reminders, so I can only assume that she will indeed pay today. Everyone I was waiting on are military, so I guess today was payday for all of them
