First Fleece of the year!

From a ewe named “Awe” at Twin Willows Farm this is a white Border Leicester fleece. I don’t have it yet, but it’s paid for and will be on it’s way soon!

That looks just wonderful… If this is your first fleece of the year, I’m assuming you’ve bought quite a few. You’ll have to give me some tips for how to find “the good ones” w/o having to find them locally…

Mainly just be aware of what you’re buying – it helps to buy from an honest seller, who actually knows what they are selling and what you are looking for and isn’t just trying to “dump” extra fleece to get rid of it. Then, don’t spend too much sight-unseen
I much prefer to buy fiber in person though… it’s a different experience when you get to pick and choose from what you can actually feel… especially when you ask them to take the entire thing out of the bag so you can see all of it
