With the Nirvana Worsted from Zen String

It’s very soft, and knits up VERY nicely! I dyed the trim Wednesday night, and started these yesterday afternoon once it was dry - then I couldn’t stop knitting until I’d finished the first leg - I finished the second leg this morning

Unfortunately, because of the guage I was getting with this yarn, in order to get enough room around the hips on DD, the curly purly waistband ended up quite a bit looser than on the soft spun shorties, so I added the “no strings attached” elastic to it - that was a little bit tedious, but I am happy with how it came out - and it’s a great way to fix knit woolens that won’t stay up when you’d rather not use a drawstring (DD pulls them out). I am knitting the next pair (in Lufaloo!) with an encased elastic waist.

I think DD likes them too. I also made her a matching hat with the leftover yarn, but I haven’t gotten a picture of it yet.

I’ve been caught up in a mid-pregnancy funk, and not really motivated to do much of anything crafty-ish. On the bright side, that means that I haven’t done much of anything (at all - other than clean house!), so no one really missed too much (but click the more link to see all I’ve been up to)
