I’m on a roll!

I actually made socks today :D  I finally figured out a (very frustrating) problem I’d been having with my short row heels and toes, and things went so smoothly after that, I actually managed to make two pairs of socks!  Two pairs of socks, in a day!  Woohoo!

Dyed after knitting:

Socks!

I made those a bit too short, but that’s okay, they still fit and they’re officially a PAIR of socks!  This feels like such an accomplishment considering how many “almost” socks I’ve made up to now (which usually consisted of a nice cuff and serious botched heel - often so terribly I had to take my work off the machine and start over).  These were a 16 row hung hem, 40 row cuff, and 50 row foot.  I think I need to use 55 or 60 rows for the foot if I make another pair at this tension again.

Then I made another pair with some kona fingering I dyed a while back.  I loosened the tension a tiny bit, but that seems to have been too much since these came out too loose… oh well, I did get through these without any major issues until I was finishing the toe, which was awesome!  Not quite sure what happened with the toe, but I think it’s going to come down to something along the lines of “I can’t count” - oops :)
